Allen Goff developed an interest in modeling when he was only eight years old. Allen and his father, also Allen, modeled together over the years, and formed a successful race team during the late '60s and early '70s. Allen left modeling for a time to pursue a hobby in martial arts that culminated with a national title in 1979. After returning from his military service in Viet-Nam, Allen went to work for General Motors and married his wife, Jan. They have three grown daughters and a boat load of grandchildren. After retirement from General Motors, Allen began building homes and is still employed in that venture. Allen returned to modeling in the late '80s, and began building and flying stunt. When he traveled to contests, he found than many times he would be away from his home church on Sunday and missed fellowship with other believers. He began to connect with other Christians in the modeling community and helped to form Fellowship of Christian Modelers. FCM has grown over the last few years to a membership of 400 worldwide. AMA recently named Allen as the first official Chaplain of the organization. |
