"There comes a time in every young man’s life when......" This is a statement often used to begin a piece of advice that may seem unpleasant to the receiver of the advice. However, it can also apply to a time of expected blessing. The scriptures tell us that God desires that we allow Him to bless us. He first wants all to be saved, each and every one, then scripture relates so very many times how He blessed the people with all their needs, even in hard times. But I’m so often guilty of missing what just may well be the most blessed of blessings He desires for us - His actual presence in my life! You see, scripture also tells us many times of how God waits for us to seek Him, and then comes running to meet us when we do! Remember the prodigal son and his father. The father was obviously watching for the son each day to come back. Then, when he saw him, he RAN to meet him. God is steadfastly watching for you and I to seek Him, so He can RUN to meet us where we are. We don’t have to get "better" for Him to come to us, only willing. Seek Him today, and be prepared to receive "immeasurably more than you can ask or imagine." Paul tells us in Ephesians chapter three, verse twenty, that, "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." God offers us that Glory through Him, we only have to claim and accept it. Shalom. |
