Spring has sprung, the grass is rising, I wonder where the
birdies are? Here in northwest Ohio the spring rains are in full swing and
it seems like I have to mow grass twice a day! (Well, that may be a slight
stretch of the facts.)
As I see the wonderful newness of life coming forth I feel a bit of the
same within myself. There is so much to look forward to, like flying
models, picnics, no coats, a little outside basketball, and all those
great things we love doing during warm weather.
There’s another activity that goes well now, but it also goes great during
the other three seasons as well – worshipping the one true, living God.
Whether I walk on green grass, wet pavement, or white snow, He is the
source of my joy. He is responsible for my living, my very being, my hope,
my warmth in the winter and my coolness in the summer and to Him I must
turn if darkness tries to invade my life.
When I turn to Him, He RUNS to me! He is eager to meet us where we are,
regardless of our spiritual condition at the time and regardless of our
worldly status. Run to Him today, tell Him how much He is worthy and how
much you love Him. Go ahead, make His day!
